Do you know of an artist looking to work on a children's book project? We are looking for artist submissions to be considered for our student competition, A Bushel of Stories. Two illustrators will be selected; one to illustrate the winning elementary story and one to illustrate the winning middle school story. Review the project description then send a resume and 3-5 work samples to Alyson McCarty ( by April 24, 2023.

Bushel of Stories Student Writing Competition Project Summary
This is a self-paced project with a flat compensation fee. The selected artists will develop illustrations for one children’s book (12+ pages) about food or agriculture that reflect the book's story or message in a way that is an accurate representation of agriculture. Artwork can be made in media of the artists choosing, so long as final digital image is high-quality. Each book will be published as a 6” x 9” (portrait) saddle stitched book and/or digitally. Illustrations may be done per page, or per two-page spread (12” x 9”) and may be full page or smaller.
