IALF Now Accepting Applications for 2027 Internships

Do you know of a college student looking for a meaningful, practical internship experience? The Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation (IALF) is now accepting applications for two internship opportunities: an Education Programs Intern and a Marketing Communications Intern.
Both positions offer college students the opportunity to gain practical experience while supporting IALF's mission to increase agricultural literacy among Iowa's students and educators. Interns work alongside IALF staff and partners and contribute to real projects, programs, resources, events, and communications.
Education Programs Internship
The Education Programs Intern will gain practical experience in agricultural education, curriculum and resource development, educator professional development, event planning, communications, and nonprofit programming.
The intern will assist with developing and revising agricultural lesson plans, educational resources, and activities for PreK-12 classrooms, research agricultural topics and help turn that information into engaging, age-appropriate educational content, and support statewide agricultural literacy programs, teacher professional development workshops, conferences, and other events. The position also provides experience wtih communications and outreach, program evaluation, grant program support, and other special projects.
This position is a great fit for a student interested in education, agriculture, youth programming, nonprofit work, or related fields.

Marketing Communications Internship
The Marketing Communications Intern will gain practical experience promoting IALF's mission, programs, resources, and impact through a variety of communication channels.
Responsibilities include assisting with social media, website content, newsletters, photography and video, promotional materials, and other communications projects. The intern will also help coordinate and write blog articles and assist with the development, design, and branding of IALF lessons, educational resources, publications, and promotional materials.
This position is a great fit for students interested in marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, journalism, agriculture, nonprofit communications, or related fields.
